At work, have you ever noticed that your thoughts do not flow as freely as they should? You may have been asked to write a report, for example. You sit at your desk, staring at your computer screen, but the words will not come. What can you do?
One way to solve this problem is to take a quick walk. Some exercise should get both the blood, and the ideas, flowing nicely.
Another idea is to take your work elsewhere. Bring your laptop to a coffee shop, a restaurant, or some other type of sit-down public establishment. In a different environment, away from the confines of your office, you may find that the ideas flow very well. If you have to write a report, you may be able to get it finished in a very short time.
In most cases, however, you cannot take your work elsewhere. You are a company employee. You get two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. In an arrangement like this, you have to stay where you are. What you might try is working standing up. Walk around the room as you are piecing together a report, and jot down ideas as they come to you. After a short time, you should have enough for your report. You can then return to your desk and type it up.
I wish you a productive day. May you be successful!
